Learn about DNS, DNS Server or DNS name server, DNS lookup, what is dns server and how it works, how DNS server or Domain Name System works. DNS or Domain Name System translates domain names to their IP addresses so that browsers can load the requested website. Servers are computers storing HTML files, images, sounds, videos or any other file types. Servers that work together to provide IP address of the requested website to the web browser are called DNS servers. Notes : 🤍 Facebook : 🤍 DNS resolver connects the web browser of our computer to the DNS name servers. There are 13 sets of root name servers, logically named as Letter.root-servers.net, where Letter ranges from ‘a’ to ‘m’, and are operated by 12 different organizations. Each set has a number of servers placed around the world. TLD name server stores the information of all domain names sharing a common domain extension. Authoritative name server is the last server in the Domain Name System. It stores the IP address of the requested website When we purchase a domain name from a registrar, Registry updates the authoritative name server for the purchased domain in the TLD name server. So, when TLD name server receives a DNS query, it forwards DNS resolver to the correct authoritative name server. DNS servers eliminate the need for humans to memorize these complex IP addresses. The only thing we need to memorize is the domain names which are easier to remember. #TechTerms Must learn: DHCP Protocol : 🤍 ARP Protocol : 🤍 DNS Explained : 🤍 OSI Model : 🤍 IP Address : 🤍 NIC : 🤍 Network Protocol : 🤍 Network Topology: 🤍 Network Router : 🤍 Network devices : 🤍 Firewall : 🤍 Firewall types : 🤍 Firewall vs : 🤍 Firewall working : 🤍 Firewall limits : 🤍 Domain name : 🤍 LAN cable : 🤍 Hostname : 🤍

It's an unsung hero that allows us to use the internet in the simplest way possible. Without DNS, our connected lives would look very different. DNS will take our domain name, and translate, or resolve it, into an IP address. Let's say you want to go to your favourite website, so you type, 🤍certbros.com. Remember, web servers do not work with domain names, so your computer needs to translate this into an IP address. The first thing it does is check its local cache both on the computer and the browser. There’s also a local configuration file that's checked. If there are no cache entries, your computer will send a query to something called a DNS recursive resolver asking for the IP address of certbros.com. Once the DNS resolver receives your query, it checks its cache. If it can’t find an entry for certbros.com, it will send a request to another server, this is called a ROOT server. The root server will then refer us to the top-level domain server (TLD) for .com. A TLD server is a server that contains information for domains with a specific extension. For example .com .org .net etc The TLD server will then refer us to the authoritative nameserver. The authoritative nameservers will have a record for Certbros.com and it will return the IP address to our DNS Resolver which will then send it back to our computer. Out computer will now be able to contact the webserver using the newly discovered IP address. #ccna #cisco #networking

In this video I will show how to fix dns server not responding on all windows and permanently fix dns server isn't responding on windows 10,7,8 A DNS server has a critical job. It translates a domain name into an IP address that your computers can send requests and receive data from. If you are having DNS issues it usually means you cannot surf the web properly. Make some changes in your settings or completely change the DNS provider if they don't work. Method 1 – Use Google’s public DNS server Your ISP’s DNS server might have some issues, so you might want to use Google’s public DNS instead. To do that follow these steps. Open Network Connections, locate your connection, right-click it and choose Properties. Once the Properties window opens select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and then open Properties. dns-issues-properties-ipv4 Select Use the following DNS server addresses and set 8.8.8.8 as Preferred DNS server and 8.8.4.4 as Alternate DNS server. dns-issues-dns-use Once you’re done, click OK. Method 2 – Use Command Prompt According to users, you can fix issues with DNS by using Command Prompt. To do that follow these simple steps: Start Command Prompt as administrator. To do that press Windows Key + X to open Power User Menu and select Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu. dns-issues-admin When Command Prompt opens enter the following lines and press Enter after each: ipconfig /flushdns ipconfig /registerdns ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew NETSH winsock reset catalog NETSH int ipv4 reset reset.log NETSH int ipv6 reset reset.log Exit After you close the Command Prompt check if the issue is resolved. How do I find my DNS on Windows 10? Open Command Prompt and type in ipconfig /all . This command will list all the network adapters, assigned IPs and DNS servers. Use this as a starting point to help with fixing DNS issues. Can I use 8.8 8.8 DNS? The 8.8.8.8 address is a DNS server offered by Google. If you are using a VPN, you should not use this address, but the one from the VPN provider. If you are not using a VPN, then either 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1 ( from Cloudflare) are good. What causes DNS error? It’s either because you have lost internet connectivity or because the server is not responding due to internal errors. In some rare cases, the DNS address is not valid anymore and needs to be changed. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 🎵 Background Track Info: Title: Bay Breeze by FortyThr33 Genre and Mood: Dance & Electronic + Bright Bay Breeze by FortyThr33 🤍 Creative Commons — Attribution 3.0 Unported— CC BY 3.0 Free Download / Stream: 🤍 Music promoted by Audio Library 🤍 ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ► ►Related Playlist ► ► ► Windows Tips, Tutorials and Troubleshooting: 🤍 ►Android Tips and Tricks and Tutorial: 🤍 ►Xiaomi And MIUI: 🤍 ►iPhone and iOS Tips and Tricks and Tutorial: 🤍 ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ► ► Related videos for you to watch ► ► ► How To Fix Auto Shutdown/Restart Problem On Windows 10: 🤍 ► How to Clear or Flush the DNS Cache in Windows 10 | Tech Mash : 🤍 ► How to Install Windows 10 From a USB Flash Drive: 🤍 ► Upgrade From Windows 7 to Windows 10: 🤍 ► Turn Off Notification In Windows 10: 🤍 ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 🔔 Subscribe to Tech Mash: 🤍 ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 🗣 For BUSINESS INQUIRIES ONLY:- rumman153🤍gmail.com ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 🗣 𝐅𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐎𝐖 𝐎𝐍 𝐒𝐎𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐌𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐀 ► Facebook: 🤍 ► Twitter: 🤍

I demonstrated how to install and configure Linux DNS Server. This is a complete Linux DNS Server Configuration Tutorial. The DNS server is extremely important for the network. Name resolution is not possible without DNS Server. All devices and servers, to some extent, do name resolution. Linux DNS Server Configuration is extremely simple, and I've told you how to do it step by step. DNS servers are classified as Primary, Secondary, or Caching Only depending on their configuration. A DNS server is called a primary DNS or master DNS server if it manages a zone or domain's DNS Records. We can set up a Linux DNS server in failover mode so that if the primary DNS server goes down, the secondary DNS server will respond to DNS queries. As a result, the master DNS Server's standby Replica is used as a backup. and caching-only DNS is neither a master nor a slave; rather, it is a standard DNS server that responds to DNS queries and caches them, then responds from the cache when the same query comes up again. The default behaviour of all DNS servers is to respond from the cache; however, caching-only receives the query and also forwards it to an upstream DNS server, serving as a DNS Forwarder. All of the scenarios have been demonstrated to ensure that you have a thorough understanding of the DNS Server. #dnsserver #binddns #linuxdns Chapters: 00:00 Explaining Linux DNS Server Configuration Course Details 01:14 Linux DNS Server Scenario and Diagram 01:44 Linux DNS Server Configurations 🔔 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘅 𝗗𝗡𝗦 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁: 👉 🤍 🔔 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘅 𝗗𝗡𝗦 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 Install and Configure Linux DNS Server: 👉 🤍 Primary DNS Or Master DNS Server Configuration: 👉 🤍 Secondary DNS Or Slave DNS Server Configuration: 👉 🤍 Caching DNS Server Configuration: 👉 🤍 DNS Forwarder Configuration with Caching DNS: 👉 🤍 Forward Zone Configuration For DNS Forward Lookup: 👉 🤍 Reverse DNS Configuration For DNS Reverse Lookup: 👉 🤍 DNS Records A, PTR, CNAME, NS, MX, SOA, TXT: 👉 🤍 🔔 If you want to learn more about DNS Server Configurations Please visit the website: 👉 🤍 🔔 Please Subscribe to my Channel, to get my latest videos: 👉 🤍 ★☆★ CONNECT ON SOCIAL MEDIA ★☆★ 👉 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗱𝗜𝗻: 🤍 👉 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸: 🤍 👉 𝗧𝘄𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿: 🤍 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿: 𝗠.𝗠.𝗥𝗮𝗵𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗮 || 𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶🤍𝗴𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺 || 𝟴𝟴𝟬𝟭𝟵𝟭𝟮𝟬𝟲𝟰𝟰𝟴𝟯

It keeps ads from loading on every device, and will run on any Raspberry Pi, Docker container or virtual machine you'd like. But did you know it can do SO much more than just block ads? You can also completely bypass 3rd party DNS servers like 8.8.8.8, 1.1.1.1, 208.67. 222.222, or the ones ran by your ISP. But first... What am I drinking??? Freigeist Bierkultur's Aufschneider, a 'Hoppy German-style Hefeweizen Ale'. This reminded me a lot of a Radler... you know, a lager mixed with grapefruit soda? But think of a Hefe mixed with a Pale Ale. It's better than it sounds, but it's also neither a Pale Ale, nor a Hefe. Not bad, but not for me. Installation Steps Install Ubuntu Server 20.04 (🤍 Install Pi-Hole - sudo curl -sSL 🤍 | bash Set the Web Admin Password - pihole -a -p [password] Install Unbound DNS - sudo apt install unbound Create Unbound Configuration File - sudo nano /etc/unbound/unbound.conf.d/pi-hole.conf Copy example config - 🤍 Restart Unbound to apply Configuration - sudo service unbound restart Disable Forwarding DNS in PiHole Set Custom DNS in PiHole - 127.0.0.1#5335 And you're done!
